Standard Warranty Info for Go karts, Scooters, Dirt Bikes, and ATVs
All go karts, scooters, dirt bikes, and atvs assembled by GatorMoto come with a parts and labor warranty. All go karts, scooters, and atvs assembled by the customer come with a parts only warranty. Additionally:
- Our street legal 49cc motor scooters come with one year factory warranties.
- Our off-road ATVs come with 90 day factory warranties.
- Our off-road dirt bikes come with 90 day factory warranties.
- Our off-road go karts come with 90 day factory warranties.
There are no returns or exchanges for any reason. The warranties do not include parts worn by standard use (such as tires, belts, chains, etc.) or parts damaged from accidents or abuse. Labor is billed at a rate of $60/hour for those with parts only warranties. If your product comes with a parts and labor warranty, the labor is only covered if the product is brought to the GatorMoto location you purchased the product from. Labor is not covered if you bring the unit to any other service center. Customer may be required to ship the defective or damaged part to GatorMoto first before replacement.
Motor Scooter Extended Warranty
GatorMoto 49cc motor scooter warranties may be extended, at the time of purchase to two years for an additional $299. There are several conditions that must be met for this warranty to remain in effect. These conditions are:
- Must fill out an extended warranty card at the time of purchase. Extended warranty includes:
- 5 half price scooter pickups per year, for two years (Normal price - $40)
- Free parts and labor for manufacturer defects for two years
- Must have the scooter serviced, including an oil change every six months:
- The first servicing must be before the end of month six
- The second servicing must be before the end of month twelve
- The third servicing must be before the end of month eighteen
- The fourth servicing must be before the end of month twenty four
- The second servicing (about one year after the date of purchase) must be performed at GatorMoto
- If having the scooter serviced at a shop other than GatorMoto, proof of the oil change and general servicing must be brought to GatorMoto to be filed within seven days of the date of servicing. The shop must be previously approved by GatorMoto, in writing, prior to the servicing.
- Premium gasoline must be used in the scooter at all times.
If any of these conditions are not met, the warranty immediately becomes null and void. A copy of these conditions is included with all purchases of extended warranties.
Electric Vehicle Warranty Information
1. This limited warranty covers conversions to new vehicles, equipment furnished by GatorMoto ("the company") in or upon a van, shuttle or passenger vehicle.
2. The company warrants to original purchases that any defects in materials or workmanship, except as listed in paragraph 4 below, that occur within the time periods listed below ("the warranty period"), starting from the date of delivery, will be corrected by the company at its expense, in a manner described: a. First 12 months all replacement parts will be furnished at no charge, "except where a manufacturer's warranty supersedes this," in which case that period becomes the warranty period (copy of manufacturer's warranty available upon request). Labor for repair is not included. Defective parts must be returned to GatorMoto before replacements will be sent.
3. Warranty repairs will be performed only: a. After the original purchaser notifies the company that a defect exists and the company determines, as a result of its inspection or investigation, that the defect was caused by improper material or workmanship. Vehicle inspections must be done in Gainesville, Florida. Transportation costs not covered by GatorMoto. b. At the company's repair facility specifically designated and/or authorized by the company. c. During normal working hours (Monday-Friday, 10 AM- 5 PM), unless otherwise agreed by the company.
4. This warranty does not cover: a. Any costs or charges INVOLVED IN TRANSPORTING a vehicle or part to or from the authorized facility. b. Any repairs causing lost revenues to customer. c. Damages to any items caused by improper use or operation, unauthorized repairs or modifications, attempts to operate any equipment beyond its rated capacities, or damage caused by lack of proper and reasonable maintenance. d. Any equipment furnished by the buyer (for installation by the company). e. Normal wear and tear of all batteries and commonly worn parts such as tires. f. Any defects in appliances or similar items (such as radio equipment, refrigerators, stoves, etc.) which are covered by the individual appliance manufacturer's warranty). g. Any rental or replacement vehicle charges or costs associated with the need for warranty repair at our authorized facility. h. Any labor required to replace any warrantied parts.
5. Warranty repairs listed above constitute the full extent of the company's warranty. There are no warranties which extend beyond those described herein, and the foregoing warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether written, oral, implied or statutory. No warranty of merchantability or of fitness for purpose shall apply. In no event shall the company be liable for special or consequential damages or of the loss of use of the vehicle or loss of time or inconvenience to the buyer.
6. There are no returns or exchanges of electric vehicles for any reason.
Return Info
Returns or exchanges for parts and accessories are only allowed if authorized by GatorMoto.
Exchanges
The only time an exchange will be allowed is if a GatorMoto supervisor authorizes it. If an exchange is granted, the customer is responsible for shipping or bringing back the defective unit/part to GatorMoto. Once GatorMoto receives the unit or part back, we will ship out a replacement unit at our expense. The warranty date will start over once the customer receives the replacement unit.
Returns
A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all approved returns. Any approved returns must be in the original packaging and contain all manuals, instructions, and accessories that were originally included with the order. All returns must have approval from a GatorMoto supervisor. Any package that has been returned to us without an approval will be refused and shipped back to you at your expense. Shipping costs are never refunded for any reason.
Order Cancellations
GatorMoto will not grant any order cancellations that are due to delays out of our control. These delays can include, but are not limited to: acts of god, shipping company delays, and customs exams. While these delays occur from time to time and are unfortunate, we will not allow any orders to be cancelled and/or refunded for situations that are out of our control. The only time an order will be refunded due to a delay out of our control is if we are informed that the shipment will no longer be arriving to us.
Shipping Damage
If your product gets damaged in shipping, please accept it and make sure the driver notes the damage on the delivery slip. Please fully inspect your product and make a list of what has been damaged. We will file a damage claim with the shipping company and send out parts to fix your problems. Should you need parts due to damage caused in shipping, please send an email to Sales@GatorMoto.com and include the following information: your name, your address, the type of product you have, the color of product you received, and an exact list of parts needed. Once we receive your email we will respond to you and give you an approximate shipping date of the parts. In some cases, we will require photos showing the damage before replacement parts will be sent. The defective parts will need to be returned before replacements are sent. Most parts are in stock and can typically ship within 1-2 business days.
